These Beats was lucky enough to catch Alvin Risk perform at The Mid here in Chicago on Friday, Jan 31st fresh in the middle his New Moon Tour and boy was I in for a massive treat.
Now for those of you who are not familiar with Alvin he has been around for a number of years producing at first remixes and later producing his own original sounds which eventually led to adding 2 solid EP's to his resume.

Alvin has remixed countless of artists including Designer Drugs, The Prodigy, Fun, Kill The Noise, Example, Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Oh My!, and Skrillex. Now signed to OWSLA, Alvin has continued to thrive on his success by constantly making hits over and over while still sticking to his own unique and energetic style.
At The Mid, he surprisingly not only DJ'ed but SANG out loud some of hits tracks. Alvin started with a majority of electro house, moombahton, and dubstep, while bits of drum & bass, deep house, and some trap in the midst of his set. At the final blast of confetti, his set finished off with something new and unreleased yet was a hit at the venue. Throughout the show the crowd was dancing, jumping, and in utter awe by the energy coming out the DJ booth. For those of you not aware of awesome music, I suggest listening and keeping an eye on Alvin Risk as he is highly underrated and extremely full of potential. You do not want to miss out next time he is in town.
